Ingredients:
For apple pie filling

½ teaspoon of cinnamon
·
1/8 cup of cornstarch
·
1/3 cup of sugar
·
1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg
·
½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
·
Salt, sufficiently
·
One teaspoon of lemon juice
·
Two apples, peeled and chopped
For chimichangas
·
¼ cup of sugar
·
½ tablespoon of cinnamon
·
¼ cup of vegetable oil
·
4-5 teaspoon of caramel sauce
·
Four small flour tortillas
Directions:
1. 1Prepare
the saucepan, pour the water, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg,
cornstarch and vanilla extract. Stir well. Put on the medium heat and cook for
about 3 minutes and don’t forget to stir occasionally. Add the apples, cooking
for about 10 minutes until the apples become soften.
2. 2Remove
from the heat and set aside. Wait until crisp for a few minutes. Then, prepare
the tortilla. Spread one teaspoon of sauce caramel in the middle of tortillas.
Put the apple that already made before, filling over the caramel sauce. Roll
the tortilla and close on both sides.
3. 3Press with
a toothpick in each side and fry briefly in hot oil. Fry until the color change
into pink-brownish. Remove from the skillet. Place on a towel to reduce the oil
and wait for the chimichangas warm. Then, roll in mixed sugar and cinnamon.
Pour over the caramel sauce. Place in a dished plate.
