Syn Free Sloppy Joes - Stove Top and Instant Pot

Use a HEb allowance of bread and cheese from your HEa.
                      
Ingredients
·      910g (2lbs) of extra lean ground beef
·      1 large onion, finely chopped
·      1 red pepper, finely chopped
·      1 green pepper, finely chopped
·      1 cup of passata
·      2/3 cup (156ml)  of tomato paste (puree)
·      1/4 cup (60ml) of sukrin: gold (or use another sweetener of choice)
·      2 tbs of balsamic vinegar
·      1 tbs of Worcestershire sauce
·      1 tbs paprika (not smoked)
·      1 tsp of mustard powder
·      1 tsp salt
·      1/2 tsp black pepper
·      spray oil

1.   Spray a large pot over a medium high heat with some spray oil, add the onion and fry for 5 mins till golden.
2.   Add the ground beef and fry till browned
3.   Add the red pepper and green pepper and stir to mix.
4.   Stir in all other ingredients, bring to a boil.
5.   Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 40 mins.
6.   If sauce reduces down too much, just add a little water into the pot.
7.   Once ready season as needed with salt and black pepper.
8.   Spoon onto 60g (2oz) wholewheat rolls with some cheese from your healthy extra a allowance.
9.   Enjoy with sides of your choice
Instant Pot:
1.   Set to saute mode
2.   Spray with some spray oil
3.   Add the onion and fry till lightly golden
4.   Add the ground beef and fry till browned
5.   Add all other ingredients, add lid, close valve and set to 15 mins high pressure, allow pressure to release naturally.
6.   Set to saute mode with lid off just to reduce down any excess liquid if needed. 
7.   Spoon onto 60g (2oz) wholewheat rolls with some cheese from your healthy extra a allowance.
8.   Enjoy with sides of your choice
